You absolutely obliterated this challenge! It's quirky, it's sentimental, it's deep! just has it all imo!
That organ just glues the whole vibe together, like it feels like the beat would still work but this piece is just that detail that makes you smile listening to it.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks bro.

Nice! Digging these longer cuts! Things are layered just right! Dis ting good!
For those of you just tuning into the B-Rad. Check his other shit out! Hits the mark everytime!

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thank you my friend 👊

Sounds really good, though I wonder if it'd benefit from dialing the volume of the sound effects back a bit. I'd be tempted to suggest some heavy reverb and widening of them to, but that's just more personal taste i think.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Yeah, I feel you on the SFX. Originally, they were on the same effects channel that the horns and keys are on, but I bussed them through the gtrspill channel and turned them up late in the post-production phase. I wonder if they'd sound better the way I had them...

Thanks for the love Anj!

Really reminds me of quasimoto (particularly of that beat that sampled fantastic planet). This track just has that extra layer of sampling and progression in it to give it more atmosphere.

great flow as usual!

B-RadGfromOV responds:

that shit is tripppy
Thanks brotha

This is cool. Has this calm/uplifting kind of vibe to it, with this extra etheric-like quality to it. Always feels like those occult surrealist canvases when I'm listening to your beats. You've definately got that sound that I don't hear in much else of the music in the category...Like there's a whole scene devoted to being really explorative with beats and making that wonky but palliative stuff, but you've definitely got a unique touch.

otherwise, I think I dig just how unimposing the base sample is, which ends up giving way to the harmony with those strings/flutes that ebb in and out.

Nice man! Could picture this one being on one of those lofi and chill mixes. Just opts for more of a snappy kick/snare. Great sample/live blend.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Yeah I did almost tag it Lo-Fi, since I filtered the hi-hat in that lofi type of way.

Very atmospheric piece! Had me sitting there like "all this needs is some horns....Oh there they are lol"

Otherwise, really digging the mix overall!

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Thanks Anj! 😁

Love the murky/spooky palette here. Those dissonant chords fit so well with those samples! Also manages to hit that right amount of bounce.

Sounds like someone getting lost in their thoughts and hallucinating while staring out at the sea haha!

B-RadGfromOV responds:

fanks

Nice work! The instruments all vibe well together (great sound selection and mixing!) Got us here just vibing out to this on some lazy Saturday morning stuff.

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Thanks Anj!

nice! good delivery. happy b-day grant man!

Hey folks, another lover of music (mainly doing so through rap/singing/beats these days). Been at it for many years off and on and had just caught the bug to make fully-pledged projects as opposed to one-offs.
