Super cool man! Very colorful melodies tangling around each other in a fancy stew. Very much matches the attached art haha!

The only thing that jumps out at me is that it kind of sounds like the mixing of everything is coming in a bit hot (i'd tinker around with some of the channels volumes/EQ or make sure the master isn't getting compressed too much).

Do you use reference tracks to compare your mixes to? I like to play my beats back to back with some professional stuff just to help dial my mixes in a bit more.

Just intuitions jumping out at me, this might be horrible advice.

Xorberax responds:

Hey that’s good advice. I don’t do that, and pretty much just play by ear. I do aim for a bit of a lofi style, so some of the mixing is intentional.

Looking forward to it guys! Congrats on getting to the end of all the hard work that this must've taken!

Absolutely love it man! It's soooo good! knocked it out of the park for sure. Everything's gelling together so well, you're Midas touch! :D

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks man. Got a song cookin for it too 👌

Dig it man! If I was being picky, I'd love to hear what this sounded like with one of the passages re-suited with a melodic switch-up or something.

Otherwise, I feel like you nailed a nice sweet spot with that singing and beat.

Great job!

Fuck yeah!

B-RadGfromOV responds:

yeah! 🤘

Digging it! Hearing a good attention to detail with the soundscaping, getting a good 3d space with everything. The vibe is nice and dreary to, like one of those pockets of time when one is just mulling over the wackiness of folks and one's disdain for it to no avail. haha!

My favorites are 7:00 and 8:00

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Yeah, I spent about 10 hours on everything. Took me a while to figure out how to structure the penultimate track at 8:00, so I took cues from Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind and filtered some bits an pieces.

Thanks for the love Anj!

Always digging the filtering/mastering effects on these, always adds to the mood. Instruments you put together are seamless with the sample. Structure is nice to, things that I always appreciate as it can easily be overlooked.

Great work Libby!

Libby-Shimmz responds:

Thank you Anj! <3

Appreciate the share man! keep doing what you're doing! :D

littlbox responds:

Thanks! Appreciate you and everyone on here making good tunes! Keep on creating!

Damn! Reaaally liking this one! Very beautiful
Very much reminds me of that same expressiveness that Dilla had on Donuts. Not just in terms of the style of chopping but I can feel it!

Thanks for sharing man!

Edit: Maybe just bringing tucking (is ducking the right term here?) the vocals back might do the trick. Don't think the drums have to be particularly punchy for this type of track. I think all it needs is some eq work personally. The chops are gorgeous.

DJDureagon responds:

It's a fucking mess! But thanks!

Dope man! Love the stereo elements in it to, super catchy!

edit; been finding myself coming back to this one and letting it loop and loop and loop! haha

Hey folks, another lover of music (mainly doing so through rap/singing/beats these days). Been at it for many years off and on and had just caught the bug to make fully-pledged projects as opposed to one-offs.
