Bitchin!!!

Such a good sample and your drums are sick as fuck! The glitchy aesthetic on them work really well.

Got my face like "EWWWWwwww!!!"

I've been waiting for a review from you for years Anj! Thanks for the love and the Follow!

On point like always man! Like a D'Angelo or Georgia Anne Muldrow; a neo-soul imo. I enjoyed the story, when listening it's easy to get lost in the entirety of the production, lyrical acrobatics, and singing, etc. but when you listen to it enough, the lyrics start emerging and you get this cool-ass atmospheric story.

Thanks man ✌️

A banger man! That switch up with the drums is bang on! Great beat for a freeverse!

DJDureagon responds:

Gotta get more elements in there. Thanks for coming through.

Wack beat makers....YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!

I really dig the use of atmospheric chops on this one. Alot of interesting creative choices that probably would not have occurred to me tbh.

From the cool little rapid plucky bass skipping around to that guitar sample. It reminds me of Diablo II, though with those little gremlin dudes skittering around all mischievously.

Great use of the break as well! Always dig the semi chopped drum (keeping all that texture from the players) haha! coming to think of it, it could just as easily be really meticulous hi hat programming...You always make it sound so organic.

very gloomy sounding, but upbeat. Fun mix!

Dig the vibe man! the flute and trumpet sound really great together like that! If I was to suggest anything (unfortunately it has to do with the bass heh), It feels like the bass is sitting a bit out of the mix, which kinda takes a bit out of the theme. Not sure if "ducking" it would be the solution, but a reason you might not be digging your bass lines as much might have to do more with the mixing than the licks themselves.

Would be curious to hear what this would sound like with some lo-fi filter effects. I can see why you'd prefer a more clean mix, but it feels like a stonesthrow away from being something that would sit nicely in one of those chill/study to/etc. mixes.

Just some thoughts. I might be totally wrong (be cool to hear other perspectives on this to), but hope you keep making tunes all the same man!

Casper responds:

I have trouble mixing and coming up with bass patterns haha. I do usually dirty up my songs and make 'em proper lo-fi but having something clean is refreshing to my workflow and to my ears. Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it!

Perfect bassline! Great job on this G!

Thanks man

Love it man! the ways you went with the vocals and the jazzy flourishes definitely make this vibable! :D

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thank you, sir

So good man! I can definitely appreciate the restraint on this one. Letting it breathe and float you away. Great job as usual man!

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks!

oh shit! Funny enough, I'm getting that bard from the witcher vibe.
Good stuff man! handling those vocals beautifully! Really dig the writing to.

Thanks! I kinda had that medieval storyteller thing in mind from Tolkien's songs/poems

Hey folks, another lover of music (mainly doing so through rap/singing/beats these days). Been at it for many years off and on and had just caught the bug to make fully-pledged projects as opposed to one-offs.
